Default Cheapest Place/Price for a Single Campaign?

I'm looking to get a single campaign for a younger relative of mine going to high school as a graduation pressie.

Ideally I want to get him Prophecies or NF, but I want the physical box at the lowest price possible.

Where could I go to get it? Most places seem to pack all three campaigns together now, and I'm not paying $30 for something I don't know he's going to enjoy.

Also, if you have a different game to suggest to get at a good price, please let me know. Ideally my budget is $10-20.

Thanks!

EDIT: Because it is a present after all, and since I'm a bit old-school, I'd prefer the physical box

In California the trilogy has been on sale for as low as $15 @ bestbuy etc. Check deal sites to see if anyone is having sales up until you need to buy it. Fatwallet, slickdeals, etc. Newegg has had them on sale too.

Really? I'm in California so I might check it out, the bestbuy site doesn't reflect that sale...

So there's really no chance of getting a single campaign in the physical package anymore?

Even so, it's in the price range. Go with Prophecies, BTW, it's easy the best made of the campaigns.

Yes the keys are cheaper, but as OP says he would prefer the box.

What I've still seen around here (Southern California) in some Target stores is the Game Of The Year edition of Prophecies. This is Prophecies + Eye of the North with the bonus mission packs and weapons. Generally, this runs around $19.99 that I've seen.

I can only say - don't be such a cheapskate. Prophecies alone was $50-60 dollars when I bought it. Now you can get all 3 for a measly $30!

Of course, you didn't say where you are, so I'll assume you're in the USA. It may be possible to buy Prophecies as a "gift card" (no box) in some 7-Eleven-type stores in the U.S.

^He did say he was in California.

Also, there are pretty darn good reasons to limit the price range of a gift - other than being a "cheapskate" that is.

I agree that Prophecies would be the best place to start.

i like your idea of getting him just one single campaign... but if you do buy the whole package... you can always set up the ncsoft account yourself and then if he doesn't like the game... you can have another account with plenty of toons on it and storage space.

but to say where to get it cheap... circuit city had NF collectors edition for 19.95. not sure if they still have CC in California...

Not everyone can just afford to shell out $ on a simple present so it's bad to call them a cheapskate.
While prophecies is great i think the fact that you have Heroes in Nightfall is massive and will serve him better long term if he gets into the game. He'll also see a lot more people when he gets into Kamadan and if he has questions be in a better position to get some answers. Make sure he knows about guildwiki too!

Absent a deal on the Trilogy, what about Amazon.com? I think I saw Prophecies there for under $10, and if you have some other stuff to get and spend $25, the shipping is free (if it's not from the marketplace, which it may be.)

Sometimes I forget that internet people can't take an friggin' joke! - plus I forgot the at the end.

My main point was the 7-Eleven part.
